Ryosuke takes the lead early in the race, maintaining this with text book perfect driving. Ryosuke is personally challenged by Kyoichi Sudo, finally ready to prove that his theory is true. Ryosuke returns to racing when Emperor comes to Akagi as part of their Gunma sweep. Because of his loss, Ryosuke retires from racing, instead leading the RedSuns from the sidelines. Takumi manages to overtake and win when Ryosuke's tires lose grip, causing him to slip out. Takumi follows Ryosuke, slowly shortening the distance between the two of them. At the first of the five hairpins, Takumi understeers due being under pressure, allowing Ryosuke to pass him. Ryosuke stays behind at the beginning of the battle, copying Takumi's techniques and speed to throw him off. Before the battle, Ryosuke tunes his car so that his horsepower is lower. After the short-lived battle, Ryosuke tells Takeshi that he believes that the only one who can beat Takumi would be him and his FC.Ī short while later, Ryosuke issues a formal challenge to Takumi, sending a bouquet of flowers with the date and time of their battle. Not long after the battle between Keisuke and Takumi, Ryosuke enters an impromptu battle against Takeshi Nakazato of the Myogi NightKids. After the Eight-Six, driven by Takumi Fujiwara, represents the SpeedStars and beats Keisuke for a second time on Akina, Ryosuke vows revenge. Initially uninterested in the Akina battle, he becomes intrigued after his brother, Keisuke, is defeated by a mysterious Eight-Six. The RedSuns travel to Akina to challenge their local team, the Akina SpeedStars. Ryosuke and the RedSuns aim to be the best racers in all of the Kanto Plain, desiring to set records on every course in the region. Ryosuke would go on to form the Akagi RedSuns, inviting racers to join based on their skill level. Ryosuke also had a rivalry with Kyoichi Sudo, with the two of them disagreeing on street racing theory, with Ryosuke challenging Sudo to beat him if he believes his theory correct.
